Perfect Order ETB: 9 vs 11 Packs, Tyrunt Promos & Great Tips

What you get in a Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box, how the Pokémon Center edition differs, and whether an ETB or a booster box suits you better.

Perfect Order Pokémon Center ETB
In this guide 10 sections

A Perfect Order ETB is the all-in-one box for Mega Evolution—Perfect Order, the 124-card expansion released on 27 March 2026. It combines booster packs with a full-art Tyrunt promo and the accessories you need to build and play a deck. There are two editions, a standard box and a Pokémon Center box, and this guide explains exactly how they differ.

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Perfect Order Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

For a refresher on the set itself, including Mega Zygarde ex and the other new Mega Pokémon ex, see our Pokémon Perfect Order set guide. Here we focus on the box: what is inside, who it suits, and how it compares with a full booster box.

What’s in a Perfect Order ETB?

The standard Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box follows the layout used across the Mega Evolution series. Here is the official contents list:

  • 9 Perfect Order booster packs (10 cards and 1 Basic Energy in each)
  • 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Tyrunt (MEP 070)
  • 65 card sleeves
  • 40 Energy cards
  • A player’s guide to the expansion
  • 6 damage-counter dice and 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
  • 1 plastic coin
  • A collector’s box with 6 dividers
  • A code card for Pokémon TCG Live

That works out to 90 cards from booster packs plus nine Basic Energy, before you count the promo or the 40 Energy cards. It is a tidy amount of cardboard for an afternoon of opening, and the box itself becomes storage once the packs are gone.

Standard vs Pokémon Center edition

The Pokémon Center Perfect Order ETB is the version we stock, the Perfect Order Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box. It keeps every accessory from the standard box and adds two things: more packs and a second promo.

  • Booster packs: 9 in the standard box, 11 in the Pokémon Center edition.
  • Promo cards: 1 full-art Tyrunt in the standard box; 2 in the Pokémon Center edition, one standard and one with the Pokémon Center logo.
  • Sleeves, Energy, dice, coin and dividers: identical in both.
  • Code card: both include a Pokémon TCG Live code card.

So the Pokémon Center Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box gives you 22 extra booster cards and a promo you can’t get from the standard box. If you want one copy of the Tyrunt promo to play and one to keep in a binder, the two-promo edition makes that easy.

The full-art Tyrunt promo

Every Perfect Order ETB includes Tyrunt as a full-art foil promo, numbered MEP 070 in the Mega Evolution Black Star Promo series. Bulbapedia credits its artwork to Shimaris Yukichi. The version in the Pokémon Center box carries the Pokémon Center logo above the Retreat Cost, which is the easiest way to tell the two promos apart.

The promo is a nice upgrade on the regular Tyrunt in the set, a Common numbered 044/088 and illustrated by Tomoki Sone. Tyrunt is a Stage 1 Fighting-type card in Perfect Order, sitting beside the Antique Jaw Fossil Item and evolving into Tyrantrum (045). Because MEP promos sit outside the main numbering, the promo doesn’t count towards the 124-card set.

How the accessories help new players

The extras are what make a Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box more than a stack of packs. Sixty-five sleeves cover a 60-card deck with a few spares. The 40 Energy cards let you build a deck without hunting for Basic Energy, and the dice, coin-flip die and plastic coin handle damage counters and coin flips during a game.

The player’s guide is a handy companion to the expansion, and the six dividers keep the box organised once it becomes a deck or bulk box. For a newcomer, a Perfect Order ETB is close to a complete starter kit: open the packs, pick a few favourites and you have most of what you need to play your first match.

Cards to hope for in your packs

Each Perfect Order ETB gives you a handful of shots at the set’s secret rares. The top card is the Mega Hyper Rare Mega Zygarde ex (124). Below it sit six Special Illustration Rares: Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex, Mega Zygarde ex, Meowth ex, Jacinthe and Rosa’s Encouragement.

There are also 18 Ultra Rares, including full-art versions of all four Mega Pokémon ex, and 11 Illustration Rares featuring Pokémon such as Rowlet, Clefairy and Dedenne. Nine or eleven packs won’t complete a set, so treat any big hit as a bonus. Our Perfect Order card list shows every card with its rarity if you want to tick off your pulls.

Who should pick up a Perfect Order ETB?

Because it mixes packs, a promo and play accessories, a Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box works for quite different people. A few common situations:

  • New players: everything needed to sleeve a deck and track damage is in the box, so you can start playing with your first pulls.
  • Gift-givers: it is a complete, presentable package that doesn’t require the recipient to own any other gear.
  • Mega Zygarde ex fans: nine or eleven packs give you a real chance to open at least one of the four Mega Zygarde ex cards in the set, though nothing is guaranteed.
  • Promo collectors: the full-art Tyrunt is the box’s signature card, and the Pokémon Center edition adds the logo version.

If you already own plenty of sleeves and dice, the accessories matter less, and a full box or a smaller pack product may suit you better. For everyone else, the Perfect Order ETB strikes a good balance between packs, extras and presentation.

Elite Trainer Box or booster box?

The Perfect Order Booster Box holds 36 packs and nothing else. That is four times the packs of a standard Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box, but there are no sleeves, Energy, dice or promo. A box suits collectors chasing set completion or groups planning a box break; an ETB suits players, gift-givers and anyone who wants a smaller, more varied product.

  • Choose the ETB if you want accessories, the Tyrunt promo and a storage box.
  • Choose the booster box if you mainly want packs and a better chance at completing the main set.
  • Choose both if you play and collect: open the box for cards and use the ETB accessories to build a deck.

5 tips for your Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box

  1. Decide before you open. If you might keep the box sealed, store it upright, out of direct sunlight and away from humidity.
  2. Protect the promo first. Sleeve the Tyrunt promo before you start opening packs so it doesn’t get scuffed in the excitement.
  3. Sleeve hits as they appear. Keep penny sleeves and top loaders nearby for anything numbered 089 or higher.
  4. Use the dividers. Sort pulls by type or by number so you can see gaps on your checklist at a glance.
  5. Keep the code card. Redeem it in Pokémon TCG Live if you play the digital game, then file it away.

Shop the range

Alongside the box, the range above includes the Chaos Rising Booster Bundle, with six packs from the next expansion, and the Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box, which uses the same nine-pack layout with a full-art Zarude promo. Whichever you choose, a Perfect Order ETB remains one of the friendliest ways into the set. Browse more in our Pokémon TCG range.
