Why the Espeon ex Ultra Premium Collection stands out

Espeon has been a favourite Eeveelution since the Gold and Silver era, and its day-time theme matches the 30th Celebration set’s day and night artwork. The Espeon ex Ultra Premium Collection pairs it with a Pikachu ex promo by YOSHIROTTEN, the artist behind the set’s new Futuristic Rare cards.

The expansion itself is all-foil, every pack contains one of 30 Pikachu cards by 30 different artists, and Mewtwo ex and Mew ex lead a line-up that celebrates three decades of the game.

Day or Night: which should you get?

Both collections share the same accessory list and pack count. Choose Day for Espeon ex and the sunny artwork, Night for Umbreon ex and the night-time stage theme, or collect both to complete the pair. The two playmats look fantastic side by side.

The Classic Collection pack explained

One of the 30 packs in this box is special: a Classic Collection booster pack containing three cards from the 30th Celebration set’s Classic Collection. These are 30 landmark cards from the history of the Pokémon TCG, brought back in foil for the anniversary. They cannot be used in the Standard format, but they are some of the most nostalgic and collectable cards in the expansion.

Getting a dedicated Classic Collection pack in the Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection Day means you are guaranteed three of these cards, rather than hoping to find them in regular packs.

Using the accessories

The playmat, 65 sleeves, deck box, Espeon metal coin and six damage-counter dice give you everything you need for a tournament-ready setup. Sleeve your deck in the anniversary sleeves, flip the Espeon coin at the start of each game and you are ready to battle in style. Many collectors keep the playmat for display instead and use it as a backdrop for their Espeon ex Ultra Premium Collection promos. If that sounds like you, now is the time to buy 30th Celebration UPC Day Australia preorders before allocations run out.
