A Re-Release with Fresh Card Backs
The comeback set re-releases the cards from the 2017 Japanese Star Wars booster and trial deck. They now use a new card back, and 19 of them carry updated card text. Your earlier Star Wars cards stay useful too, because the comeback cards can be mixed with them in a deck.
Art from four films
The illustrations were drawn especially for Weiss Schwarz and take their subjects from A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Original-trilogy fans and sequel-era fans each get artwork from the films they love.
Who it’s for
Players who never had the chance to open the 2017 cards get a second shot at them here, while anyone who already owns them can update their deck with the revised text. Fans who simply enjoy quotes will want to keep an eye out for the SWR cards, which pair the logo with famous lines.
Mixing old and new
Because older printings remain compatible, a Weiss Schwarz Star Wars comeback box can top up an existing collection rather than replace it. Sleeve your decks if you want the different card backs to look uniform at the table, and keep your 2017 originals in a binder if you’d rather preserve them.
