Play store release 9 August 2024, general release 23 August 2024

Play stores had Shimmering Skies a fortnight before its general release, so keen Lorcana players were already trading Ralph and Elsa cards by the time the set reached wider retail.

A celebration near the Great Illuminary

Where earlier sets brought floods and villainous plots, Shimmering Skies is built around a celebration near the Great Illuminary. That party atmosphere gives the set a lighter feel, and it is the backdrop for some very welcome arrivals.

Arcade heroes and Arendelle favourites

Ralph and his companions from Litwak’s Arcade bring the video game world of Wreck-It Ralph to the Inklands for the first time. Meanwhile Anna, Elsa and Olaf return from their journey into the Enchanted Forest, giving Frozen fans a reason to look closely at every pack. Each of the box’s Shimmering Skies packs can add these characters to your binder or deck.

Who a Lorcana Set 5 booster box suits

A Lorcana Set 5 booster box is a natural pick for families who love Frozen, gamers with a soft spot for Ralph’s arcade world, and Illumineers working through the sets in order. Its 24 packs give a single player plenty to build two-ink decks with, or two players a fair share each.
