A Mythical Pokémon for a shadowy set

Zarude is a Mythical Pokémon, and as a Dark- and Grass-type in the video games it suits an expansion called Pitch Black. Its full-art card makes a strong opening for any Pitch Black binder page. If you buy Pitch Black ETB AU stock as a gift, it is a card the recipient gets no matter what the packs hold.

Playing with Mega Darkrai ex and friends

The 40 Energy cards, 65 sleeves and player’s guide make it easy to build your first Pitch Black deck. Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zeraora ex are natural centrepieces, and the four Pokémon ex in the set (Lurantis ex, Wailord ex, Rampardos ex and Morpeko ex) give you more options to experiment with.

Use the damage-counter dice and plastic coin during games, and keep the competition-legal coin-flip die in the box for events. Players who buy Pitch Black ETB Australia stock get a complete starter setup alongside their packs, which makes this box a smart first purchase for anyone new to the Mega Evolution series.

The cards to chase in Pitch Black booster packs

The top pulls are the two premium versions of the box art Pokémon: Special Illustration Rare #116 and Mega Hyper Rare #120, the final card in the set. Look out too for the set’s 11 illustration rares, 18 ultra rares and 6 special illustration rares as you work through your nine packs.

ETB or booster box?

The ETB gives you packs plus accessories and storage. If you want volume, the Pitch Black Booster Box holds 36 packs. Collectors following the series often pair this box with the Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box, which shares the same accessory list but includes a Charcadet promo. For a single box that covers opening, playing and storing, buy Pitch Black ETB Australia stock.

Organising your collector’s box

The six dividers make it easy to give each part of your collection its own section: Energy at the front, sleeved deck cards next, then rares and bulk, with the Zarude card in a top loader at the back. The player’s guide and code card can sit underneath, so everything for the set stays together on your shelf.
