Five series return, and Red arrives

Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Unicorn, Gundam Wing, Gundam SEED and The Witch from Mercury all come back from Edition Beta, each with a wider spread of cards than before. Many Mobile Suits and Pilots make their Gundam Card Game debut in this set, so decks built around those five shows pick up fresh options.

The headline change in the Newtype Rising display is Red. These Zeon and Neo Zeon cards can damage units directly, handing aggressive players a way to clear the field without waiting for combat to do the work.

Legend Rares and alt arts in Newtype Rising

Legend Rare is the top rarity in the Gundam Card Game, and GD01 has 12 of them. With 47 cards also printed in alt-art form, there is plenty to sort through as you work pack by pack through a GD01 booster box, along with the Resource and token cards that fill each extra slot.

Who the Newtype Rising display suits

Pick this up if you want a broad base of GD01 cards to build a Red Zeon deck or strengthen a Unicorn, Wing, SEED or Witch from Mercury list. Collectors chasing the 12 Legend Rares get 24 packs in one hit, and it makes a lively shared opening for a group of mates.
