Inside the Set

Pokémon Card 151 is built around 151 cards numbered by Pokédex entry, taking you through the original generation from start to finish. Kadabra makes its return after more than 20 years away from the game, while Mew ex and Alakazam ex lead the Pokémon ex. Trainer fans can look for Giovanni’s Charisma, and the Tool card Safety Goggles also appears.

Who is this box for?

At seven cards each, Japanese 151 packs are compact, so opening all 20 makes a manageable session for a family or a small group of friends. Collectors building a Japanese master set often start with a sealed box and then fill the gaps with singles. Because the cards are printed in Japanese, the box is aimed at collecting rather than English-format events.

Opening tips

Have penny sleeves and a binder ready before you start, and open packs on a clean, flat surface so the cards stay in good condition. Keeping the empty box is a nice way to display the set code alongside your finished pages, and it doubles as handy storage for spare cards and duplicates you plan to trade.
