What the Black Bolt Expansion Brings
Released on 18 July 2025, Black Bolt leans firmly into the Unova region. Snivy’s evolution line builds up to Serperior ex, while Zekrom ex and Meloetta ex also appear in the set. On top of that, the expansion features special illustrations and parallel cards printed with a Poké Ball pattern, so there is plenty to look out for as each pack is opened.
Who this Black Bolt ETB suits
An Elite Trainer Box sits between a single pack and a full booster box. Nine packs give you a real start on the set, and the sleeves, Energy and dice let you test a deck once your cards are sorted. The four dividers keep favourite pulls organised inside the storage box, while the player’s guide helps newer Trainers get to know the expansion.
If you are following a particular Pokémon, such as Snivy’s line through to Serperior ex, the dividers make it simple to keep each evolution stage together as your Black Bolt ETB collection grows.
It also makes a handy gift for a fan of the Unova games: the Thundurus promo is included in every box, so there is at least one guaranteed highlight before the first wrapper comes off.
